The Annotate History view displays the ClearCase history of the annotated element in a table with the following columns:
Below the table there are two text fields. The text field in the lower left corner displays all labels that are attached to the version that is selected in the table. The text field in the lower right corner shows the full comment attached to the selected version.
You can use the following buttons in the toolbar of the Annotate History view:
Refresh History: The history for the selected ClearCase element
is fetched again and displayed.
Link with Editor and Selection: When enabled, the view will
display the history for the ClearCase element that is displayed in the active editor or of the active selection.
Group Versions by Date: When enabled, all history items will be
sorted into one of the following date categories:
Collapse All: While the view is in the
Group Versions by Date mode, Collapse All will collapse all of the date categories.A right-click on an entry in the table opens a context menu with the entries Refresh History and Show Annotation. The Refresh History entry will reload the history of the ClearCase element from its VOB.
The Show Annotation entry will open the Annotate Editor for the selected version. This makes it possible to quickly view any desired version of the ClearCase element in the Annotate Editor. In the example the user had selected version /main/5 of the ClearCase element displayed in the Annotate Editor, and clicked on the Show Annotation entry in the popup menu. The title of the Annotate Editor displays the version-extended pathname of the ClearCase element:
